On Wednesday, September 19th, 2018 at 10 AM, the Swansea COA hosted an Emergency Preparedness Workshop. Douglas Forbes of the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency will provide information on emergency preparedness, how to put together an emergency supplies kit and develop a family emergency plan. Mr.Forbes has worked for MEMA for 34 years and currently serves as a Local Coordinator for MEMA, Region II. Many helpful publications will be provided free of charge. Special guests include Carl Sawejko with Swansea’s Emergency Management Agency, Chief Eric Hajder of the Swansea Fire Department, Lts. Haslam and Martin of the Swansea Police Department and Cheryl Camara of the Swansea Ambulance Corp.
